Network Packet Broker · Visibility fabric
Every tool gets the traffic it needs. Nothing more.
We design, implement and maintain a network packet broker that aggregates traffic from taps and SPAN ports, filters and load-balances it, and delivers the right streams to your security and performance monitoring tools.
Why it matters
Monitoring tools are only as good as the traffic they receive.
The whole network in view
Traffic from multiple links and segments is aggregated in one place, so monitoring tools analyse the full picture rather than fragments.
Less load on costly tools
Filtering strips out traffic a tool does not need before it arrives, so each appliance spends its capacity on analysis instead of noise.
Visibility that scales
Adding a new security or performance tool becomes a change to broker rules, not another request for a SPAN port or a re-cabling job.
How we deliver
Five steps. Clean traffic to every tool.
Packet broker projects touch live production links, so we plan each change with your network team and test before anything is switched over.
Planning
We map your links, segments, existing taps and SPAN ports, and the monitoring tools that need traffic from each of them.
Design
Hardware, software and rule design: which traffic is aggregated, how it is filtered and how load is shared across tools.
Implementation
The broker is installed and configured, taps and SPAN ports connected, and filtering, forwarding and load-balancing rules applied.
Testing
Each tool is checked to confirm it receives exactly the traffic intended, with dashboards validated against real utilisation.
Maintenance
We keep the broker and its rules current as your network and tool set change, so visibility does not decay over time.
What's included
Design, deploy and operate.
Expected outcomes: fuller traffic visibility for your monitoring tools, less load on costly appliances, and simpler onboarding of new tools.

Packet brokers, explained plainly.
What network and security teams ask before adding a packet broker.
Do we need a broker if we already use SPAN ports?
SPAN ports are limited and often shared between tools. A broker aggregates tap and SPAN feeds, then filters and distributes traffic, so several tools can be served without competing for the same port.
Will installing the broker interrupt network traffic?
Changes to production links are planned with your network team and scheduled for agreed windows. Testing confirms each tool receives the right traffic before anyone relies on it.
Which monitoring tools can the broker feed?
Security and performance tools such as intrusion detection, data loss prevention and network performance monitoring, as well as NDR and other tools you run. The integrations are fixed during the design step.
What should our network team prepare?
Network diagrams, a list of the monitoring tools you use, access to the relevant links and a named contact in your network team. We bring the design, the build, the testing and the documentation.
Who maintains the rules after go-live?
Maintenance is the fifth step of our approach, so we keep the configuration current as your network grows. Your team is also trained to adjust filtering and forwarding rules when needed.
