SIEM · Implementation and fine-tuning

Thousands of events. Only the ones that matter.

We plan, build and tune your SIEM around the logs you really have and the threats you really face, with custom rules, dashboards and trained users, so alerts point to genuine incidents instead of noise.

Why it matters

A SIEM nobody tunes is just an expensive log store.

Detection you can trust

Custom rules written for your environment trigger on the patterns that signal an incident, not on every failed login across the estate.

One view of every source

Firewalls, intrusion detection, servers, vulnerability scanners and threat intelligence feeds land in one place, correlated and searchable.

History when you need it

Structured historical event data lets you investigate a past incident properly and answer an auditor's question with evidence, not memory.

How we implement

Five phases. Signal first, noise last.

We size the SIEM to your network's complexity and the data you need, then keep tuning until the alerts earn your analysts' attention.

Requirements gathering

We map your network size and complexity, the security events you must collect and the questions the SIEM has to answer.

Design

An architecture and data-source plan covering collection, parsing, correlation rules, dashboards and integration points.

Implementation

The SIEM is deployed and connected to firewalls, intrusion detection systems, servers and the other sources in the plan.

Fine-tuning

Rules and thresholds are adjusted against real events to cut false positives and sharpen the alerts that point to incidents.

Training

Analysts and administrators learn to use, maintain and extend the platform, backed by documentation written for your set-up.

What's included

Plan, build and hand over.

Expected outcomes: fewer false positives, alerts focused on genuine incidents, and searchable event history for investigations and audits.

FAQ

SIEM, beyond the sales pitch.

Questions we hear from security and IT leaders planning a SIEM.

Which log sources should we connect first?

We agree this during requirements gathering. Firewalls, intrusion detection systems and critical servers usually come first, followed by the sources your use cases and regulators demand, so value arrives early.

Why do SIEMs produce so many false alerts?

Usually because default rules were not adapted to the environment. Fine-tuning is a phase of its own in our approach: we adjust rules and thresholds against your real events until alerts point to genuine incidents.

Can you add threat intelligence and vulnerability data?

Yes. Integration with vulnerability scanners and threat intelligence feeds is part of the delivery, so an alert about a host can be read alongside that host's known weaknesses and current threat context.

Who runs the SIEM after go-live?

Your own team, if you prefer: we train users and leave documentation for operations and maintenance. If you would rather not staff a SOC yourself, our Security Monitoring service can watch the platform for you.

Does a SIEM help with NCA ECC or SAMA CSF compliance?

Central logging and monitoring support the event management controls these frameworks ask for, and dashboards and reports give auditors evidence. The SIEM is one control; our Compliance service maps the full set.
